Obituary of Bernadine Hepworth Dustin
Bernadine Hepworth Dustin passed away peacefully in Monroe, Utah September 19, 2019. She was a native and long-time resident of Gridley, California where she was born on March 11, 1935. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully.
She attended Gridley High School and was voted "Most Athletic" of her graduating class. She loved sports and continued to be an avid sports fan throughout her life. She enjoyed the workforce as well. Some companies she worked for include Ford Automotive, Mathew's Readymix and Continental Athletic Supply. She also co-owned a Drive-in Resturant called "Uncle Fuds" with her husband.
She met her late husband, Odell Dustin, in Gridley and they were married September 20, 1957 in the LDS Salt Lake temple. Together, they raised three children Shawn Dustin, Kevin Dustin and Marnell Brock. Bernadine's life was full of service to her family and friends. She was very dependable, hardworking and caring.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Shawn Dustin (Janet), Kevin Dustin (Tina) and Marnell Brock (Edward), Her Step-son Dennis Dustin (Marcella), Her three Sisters Idonna Johnson, Margo Hepworth and Cindy Dean, her 16 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 1st at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 400 Spruce Street, Gridley CA. There will be a family viewing at 9 A.M. followed by the funeral at 10 A.M. Interment will follow at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
