He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Theresa Gross Yates-CA

3 daughters: Jacquelynn Yates (Jason Glasco) - IL; Melissa Yates- CA; Kaelynn Yates Whipple - Son-in-law Robert Whipple - CA; Son-in-law Kevin Osbourn - CA

6 grandsons: Kyle Osbourn - ID; Kevin "Dillon" Osbourn, Kollin Osbourn & Kameron Osbourn of Portola, CA; Mason Mills - CA & Leon Graham - CA

4 granddaughters: Mikayla Brown-Sentner & Haylie Whipple - CA; Briana & Hayden Glasco - IL, 3 great grandsons & 2 great granddaughters.

Numerous nieces and nephews and their familes; Roni Shepard, Dean Munson, Samantha/Matthew, Danielle/Neil, Stephanie Ulrich. 

Aunts/Uncles/Cousins: Pauline Turner, Vernie Yates, Mitch Schanuth, Debbie Yates, Lisa Snellen-Hamacher, Linda Reeves, Pam Mayfield, Ronda Clay, Rick and Wanda Yates

Brothers/Sister in Laws/Familes Gross: David/Brenda, Charlie/Linda. Ron, Rhonda Bruce, Roy/Mindy, John/Donna, Rebecca/Michael Hintz & all the extended Gross family members, so many more family members & friends, Yates, Snellen, Gross who will miss him greatly. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. James Yates Sr & Helen Snellen Yates, his brother Steven (Stevie) Yates, his sister Janice Kay Yates Munson & brother-in-law Roy Munson, his niece Susan Kay Munson Schutz & husband David Schutz as well as numerous other family members that we all love and miss. 

Jim or JR, as many knew him by, was a loving husband, great father/grandfather & a loyal friend. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts. In respect to his wishes there will be no Funeral/Memorial Service. He wanted those who knew him, to remember him with a grin/joking maner.
