Obituary of Lester Kenneth Wilkerson
His Legacy........ Lester Kenneth Wilkerson, 86, was born March 31, 1933 in Oroville, California to George and Goldie Wilkerson, passed away on July 7, 2019. He was a resident of Butte County for 86 years. He served his country in the Korean War. Lester married to his beloved wife Cathryn for 58 years until she passed away in December of 2016. He worked for PG&E as a young man and RCBS-Omark, where he retired after many years of service. He enjoyed deer hunting with his best friend, Buck Waterman and fishing with his son-in-laws, Jim Logue and Larry McDonald. He was an avid woodworker, creating magnets, ornaments and gifts for family and friends. Lester liked fly fishing, tying his own flies, and learning how to tie nautical knots.
His Family......... Lester is survived by his daughters, Penny Logue and Mary Jane McDonald; his son-in-laws Jim Logue and Larry McDonald; his grand-daughters, Terra Ronan and Tammy Nooner, his sister Lou Wilkerson and brother Cecil Wilkerson and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Cathryn Wilkerson, his parents George and Goldie Wilkerson; his sisters Hazel Marquis, Pansey Woolery and Shirley McElhaney and his brothers Charles Wilkerson, James Wilkerson and Walt Wilkerson.
His Farewell....... Lester did not wish to have a farewell service. He will be remembered by all who knew him well. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
