Obituary of Bernice Lee Jarnagin

Bernice Lee Davis Jarnagin, 98, of Gridley, CA, passed away on June 4, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Liberty Cemetery in Custer County, OK. Arrangements are by Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, Gridley, CA, and Lockstone Funeral Home, Thomas, OK.

Mrs. Jarnagin was born in Corona, NM, to James and Ollie May Davis on September 12, 1920.  She married Steve Royce Jarnagin on May 24, 1952 in Roswell, NM. She was a lifelong member of the United Pentecostal Church. Prior to her last illness she was an active member of The Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church in Gridley, CA. 

Mrs. Jarnagin is preceded in death by her sister Lorene Woodward, her brothers Lawrence Davis, Milton Davis, and Riley Davis.  Her husband, Steve, preceded her in death on February 25, 1995.

Mrs. Jarnagin is survived by her son, Steven Jarnagin of Gridley, CA and Lewisville, TX; daughter in law CarolAnn Jarnagin of Lewisville, TX; grandson Robert Franklin of Lewisville, TX; grandson David Jarnagin of Fort Worth, TX;  great grandson Jaxson Franklin of Fort Worth, TX; great grandson Spencer Franklin of Lewisville, TX.
