Obituary of Ronald Allen Solansky
His Legacy… Ronald A. Solansky, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Mather VA Hospital in Mather, CA. He was surrounded by his family, in addition to heartfelt wishes from family and friends during his final battle of cancer. He was born January 7, 1957, in Redding, CA. Ronald was a well-loved man by all who knew him. He attended Las Plumas High School, married the love of his life, Debbie, in 1976 and served in the United States Army for eleven years (1979-1990). He served in Germany, Turkey, Texas, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Washington, and numerous other adventurous places. He settled in Oroville, CA with his family in 1990; working in places like Oroville Racket Ball Cub, Tractor Supply, Feather Falls Casino, Gold Country Casino, a rice plant, and volunteered at the local 1747 VFW Hall. He loved landscaping, drawing, and enjoyed fishing, boating, gatherings, and camping with his family. He also enjoyed socializing with people and loved to travel. He was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, and Father.
His Family… Ronald is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (Shaw) Solansky and father, William Solansky. He is survived by his wife; Debbie (Cooley) Solansky, Step-Son; Chuck Cobb, Granddaughter; Adreanna Guess, Grandson; CJ Cobb, Great Grandson; Cannon Cobb, Great Granddaughter; Timber Cobb, Son; Chris Solansky, Grandson; Aron O'Leary, Granddaughter; Calista O'Leary, Step-Daughter; Brenda Haase, Daughter; Dawn (Solansky) Retzlaff, Son; Ronald Solansky Jr., Sisters; Joanne (Solansky) Roberts and Joyce (Solansky) Baker, Brothers; Buddy (Robert), Wayne, Danny Paul, and Terry Lynn Solansky. He is also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
His Farewell Service… A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the VFW Hall, 1901 Elgin Street Oroville, California. A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville, California. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
