We spent a lot of time with Rollie when he was a boy. He was always sweet and good natured. I wish I would have known him as an adult. Rest in peace Rollie.

Rolli will always be part of my memories of watching my nephews grow up in Carmichael, CA. The local Cub Scout Troup was blessed to have his participation (and all his Fathers' volunteer help). May his great smile always shine in the memories of his family and friends.

To his Father, fiancé Sarah, and friends...
I did not know Rolland (SSG Rhoades to us...), but I grieve for his death, and for the pain and loss you all share. I also don't know of the circumstances around his passing. Nonetheless, he's part of our Army family as well, and I am deeply saddened. I have a son the same age.
I thank God for the 30 years of his life that he lived, and that you all will be comforted by the sweetest of memories you have of him.
I also pray for your comfort and healing, and that you may know Him who is the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. One thing for sure... this life on earth is not Heaven, but one that is all too often spotted with pain and death. Therefore, I pray you all would encounter and enjoy a closeness to our LORD that you have never experienced before. I assure you, He is with you in this agonizing time, weeping with you, walking with you in your pain.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss...

I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of family members is truly hurtful! You never get over it. The pain only will weakens with time, but it will always be there. I wished I could have known my nephew, it hurts me still that I didn't. My prayers have always been with you brother. I will just be praying a little more. Love you with all my heart! I couldn't of had a better big brother than you! Hang in there, be strong. I pray for your whole family can get through this and heal. You need to be strong like never before.
