Obituary of Claude Milton Dryden
Claude Dryden, passed away in Oroville California on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Claude was born in Oroville, California and graduated from Oroville High School in 1964. Claude served in the Navy from 1966 to 1969 and was part of the construction Battalion. Claude was Honorably Discharged with a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After serving his country, Claude returned to Oroville and worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years.
Claude is survived by his two children, John M. Dryden (spouse, Kimberley D. Dryden) and Carrie M. Ables (spouse Doyle Wayne Ables, Jr.); three grandchildren, Devin A. Lee (spouse, Sierra E. Lee), Noah W. Ables, and Benjamin J. Ables; two great grandchildren, Riley S. Lee and Hunter A. Lee; and two brothers Charles M. Dryden and Arthur W. Dryden.
We are pleased Claude was surrounded by his friends and family during his last few days at home, with special thanks to Robin Wixom, Don and Carol LaForce and Ryan Nieto.
Bubbles, his beloved dog, was there to help ease Claude’s way home and is now residing with Miss Wixom.
Claude will be interned in the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, California in a private ceremony.
