When I think about Doug, I think about the years that I worked for him at Chester Video. He gave me my first job at 15 years old, trusted me to run the store when he wasn't there, and when I messed up he treated it with grace. I've had a lot of bosses since then, but Doug was hands down one of the best. Doug definitely influenced my love of movies, something that was cultivated and encouraged through working for him. I don't think that I ever told him this, but I loved him as a friend and mentor. I had always hoped that our paths would cross again, but I'll have to wait for that to happen in the next life. Doug, thank you for the ways that you impacted and influenced my life.
