Obituary of Luella Ann Tamagni

Luella Ann Tamagni of Gridley, CA sadly passed away February 7, 2019 in Marysville, CA. Luella was born August 14, 1936 in Artois, CA to Foster Bronner and Florence Shifflet Bronner. She was one of 5 children.

When Luella was a young child, her family moved between Artois, CA to Lenora, OK for many years. Her family once again was going to make the move to Oklahoma, Luella and her sister Donna stayed with their aunt in Chico, CA. Luella attended schools in Chico and Biggs. Luella graduated early at the age of 17 from Gridley High School.

She went to work for Bank of America after graduation. Her family had moved back and settled at the Doyle Justeson Ranch where she met the love of her life, W.H.”Tom” Tamagni. Luella and Tom married February 20, 1954 and lived in Gridley. They had one son, Tom.

Luella went to work for Mosquito Abatement of Butte County and then went to work for the City of Biggs as the City Clerk and Finance Director for over 20 years, until her retirement.

After Tom’s passing in 1985, Luella married Stanley Flous of Gridley in November 1987. After a few years of marriage, they divorced.

Luella loved to bake and decorate cakes, crafts, play pinochle, travel the world with her cousin and sports, especially baseball. She enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge, where she was a long-time member, with her best friend Lovie Wicks.

Luella is preceded in death by her husband W.H. “Tom” Tamagni, parents Foster and Florence Bronner, brothers, Bill Bronner and Ed Bronner.

She is survived by son, Tom Tamagni (fiancée Kalyn Lewis) Gridley, CA; grandchildren Toby Tamagni, Reno, NV, Tyler (Courtney) Tamagni, Chico, CA, Trent (Sarah) Tamagni, Coeur D’Alene, ID, Kelsie Morse (Cory) Browns Valley, CA, Jenna Lewis (Roy Prichard) Gridley, CA, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Donna Cerullo, Sacramento, CA, and brother Eugene Bronner, MO.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. Services will be private.
