Obituary of Joseph Pasquale Spada
Joseph "Joey" Pasquale Spada
April 1956 - February 2019
Joey Spada was a man of undeniable energy, the kind of person that unintentionally became the life of the party, that couldn't help but sing a tune and that was a stranger to no one.
Joey was born in 1956 in Flushing Queens, NY to Pasquale and Dolores Spada, the second of five children. At just two years old he was one of the first people to survive a surgery to repair a hole in his heart. As an adult he was a chef at Spada's and the Rod n' Reel restaurants, Gold Beach volunteer firefighter, bread man, Oroville city council member and car salesman. Outside of work he was a comedian, poet, world famous lasagne maker, proud dog parent of Gigi and Buddy, hot rod champion and owner of Citric Acid.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Dolores and Pasquale Spada.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Spada, children; Gloria Bremer [Joshua], Joseph Spada [Iana], Raymond Lopez [Sherry], Jesse Lopez [Sabrina], six beautiful grandchildren, siblings; Thomas Spada [Karen], Dolores Silva [Rudy], Maria Esker [Brent] and Janine Gladfelter [Paul].
It's no secret that Joey loved a good party so please help us make his Celebration of Life one for the books.
