Obituary of Allen Shaw Simpson

His Legacy… Longtime Oroville resident Allen Shaw Simpson Jr. passed away on January 28, 2019 in Oroville, California. Allen was born December 13, 1936 to Allen and Zenobia Simpson in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed his little town of Oroville and serving the community. Jr was a volunteer fireman for El Medio Fire and a fulltime fireman for Oroville Fire Dept for over 30 years. He also enjoyed sitting on the City Council for over 4 years.

His Family… Jr. is preceded in death by his son Timothy Allen Simpson. He is survived by his wife Shirley Simpson of Oroville, two daughters Terri Simpson Gunderson and Sherri Simpson both of Oroville, one grandson Zachary Allen Padilla of Oroville.

His Farewell Service… There will be a viewing on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street Oroville, CA. Graveside Service will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville, California. A Reception will follow at the VFW on Lincoln Blvd. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
