Obituary of Richard Allen Shirley
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery for Richard Allen Shirley, 71 of Biggs. He passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Gridley.
Richard was born on September 14, 1947 in Toppenish, Washington. He enjoyed coin collecting, guns, and gardening. His greatest love was spending time with his family, and having a cold beer with his friends. Richard was a second father to many. He was a devout Christian and a member of the V.F.W. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Virgina Shirley, one sister, Pam Shirley and a grandson, Conner Tabor.
He is survived by his loving wife Terry Shirley of Biggs; one son, Bobby Tabor (Danielle) of Bristow, OK, three daughters, Tina Shirley of Gridley, Hope Shirley and Dawn (Timmy) Ball of Biggs; two brothers: Ronnie Shirley of Zillah, WA, Robert (Julia) Shirley of Yakima, WA; five sisters: Carol Frady of Yakima, WA, Linda (Don) Hafstad of Sunnyside, WA, Patty (Richard) Milam of Zillah, WA, Darla Allen of Port Orchard, WA, Barbara (Mike) Dobbs of Outlook, WA; and ten grandchildren.
