Obituary of Emma Byler
Emma Byler,83, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Dec 23rd, 2018 three months after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 8,1935 to Roman and Anna Mast. She talked fondly of her days of service at Faith Mission Home in VA. It was there that she met John, and the two were united in marriage on November 26,1974. They spent 44 years together and in the last 27 years, cared for Emma's handicapped brothers. She is remembered for her kindness and love of children and for making others feel welcome in her home. She enjoyed making quilts in earlier years, and sewing comfort tops for the sewing circle as she was able. She often had a little grand daughter on her lap, begging for a story.
Emma is survived by her husband, John; son Timothy, married to Ida May; daughter Anna Mary, married to Melvin Martin; four granddaughters- Abigail, Samantha, Elizabeth, and Katelyn Byler; two brothers- Eli Mast, Ronks, PA, Melvin Mast, Oroville, CA; one sister, Fannie Otto, Arthur, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Anna Mast, and brother, Johnny Mast.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and frim 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Maranantha Fellowship 75 Los Verjeles Road Bangor, CA
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Bangor Hall in Bangor with Burial to follow at Wyandotte Cemetery, 4600 Foothill Blvd Oroville, California.
