Obituary of Mark Eric Wadsworth

Mark Eric Wadsworth, age 48, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Rideout Hospital in Marysville. He was born June 30, 1970 to Gary and Connie Wadsworth.

He was a 1989 graduate of Gridley High School. He married the love of his life, Nicole LaRose Wadsworth and they raised her two boys together, Coleton Tidwell and Kevin Mattos. Mark worked for local farmers Chuck Adams, Jon Moss and Mark Evans. Mark enjoyed ground work, land leveling, and rice harvesting. Mark did some farming on his own with his brother-in-law, Brannon Byrne. He eventually would go into a trucking business with his father Gary Wadsworth, Brannon Byrne and Tim Cockburn of Fresno. Mark ran the operational side of the business which has grown to 28 employees in 4 different locations. Mark was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. His life was taken too soon by a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife Nicole LaRose Wadsworth, two sons Coleton Tidwell and Kevin Mattos, parents Gary and Connie Wadsworth, sister Lisa Wadsworth Byrne (husband Brannon Byrne, nephew Bryar and niece Makenna), uncles Ron Wadsworth, Steve Wadsworth and LeRoy Bonham. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cub and Juanita Wadsworth of Gridley, Chick and Jackie Wakefield of Biggs and Aunt Sharon Bonham of Tulelake. 

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Gridley Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge.
