Obituary of Myrna Lee Riley

Myrna Lee Riley, 74, passed away August 8, 2018 at her home in Live Oak after battling cancer for one and a half years. Her service will be held at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery on August 24 at 1 p.m., with a BBQ Celebration of Life following at the Gridley Moose Lodge, 1533 Highway 99, in Gridley.

Myrna Lee was born in Gridley, California to Albert and Eleanor Dunning on November 13, 1943. She attended Cal Poly and majored in Home Ec. She married Joseph Campbell in 1965 and moved to Maple Valley, Washington to raise her three children. She enjoyed cooking for her family, was a beautiful seamstress, and loved to sing. She was part of several choirs and sang solos at church, and for weddings and funerals. She loved Jesus and shared her faith in quiet ways. She moved back to California in 1999 to be closer to her mom. In 2014 Myrna Lee and Warren met up again at her mother’s 99th birthday party, and they began dating again after over 50 years. They were then married December 6, 2014. She was a loving person, devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others first. She would always greet you with a big smile and hug. She will be missed.

Myrna Lee is survived by her husband, Warren Riley; two children, Eric (Gina) Campbell, Kileen (Shane) Alvidrez; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-children: Lisa (John) Rosecrantz, Julie (Aaron) Adelman, Tim (MaryAnn) Riley, and seven step-grandchildren; siblings: Lorry (Bev) Dunning, Janice (Wilbur) Reil.
