Obituary of Randall Regan Stohlman

A funeral service will be held on Monday July 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Church on Spruce St., for Randy Stohlman, 65 of Gridley. He passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Chico. He was born on September 11, 1952 in Gridley, one of two sons born to Jerry and Doris Stohlman.

Randy was a longstanding resident of Gridley. He was a longtime employee at Shifflet Brothers and AmeriGas. He also owned and operated the paintball store in Gridley. He was an avid Ham radio operator, and fisherman, along with an enthusiasm for paintball, remote controlled cars and motorcycles. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many callings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Verena Stohlman of Gridley; two sons: Jason (Amy) Stohlman of Chico, Justin Stohlman of Gridley, two daughters: Heather (Tom) Burrall of Woodland, Rita (Keith) Kavanaugh of Vancouver, Washington; his parents: Jerry Stohlman of Gridley, Doris Anders of Blairsden, California; one brother: Rusty Stohlman also of Blairsden; seven grandchildren: Izak Stohlman, Samuel Stohlman, Ryan Burrall, Aaron Kavanaugh, Kaylene Burrall, Emilie Kavanaugh, and McKenna Kavanaugh.

A visitation will be held at 9:00, the day of the service at the LDS Church. Interment will be in the Gridley Biggs Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Randy’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, 530-846-2138.
