Obituary of Vashan Maurice Atkinson
His Legacy… Vashan Maurice Atkinson was born on January 9, 1973 in San Rafael, California to Kathy Johnson and Joise Atkinson. Vashan passed away on the 4th of July in Sacramento, California after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. He was currently residing in Redding, California and was working at Sierra Pacific Industries as a Corporate Salesperson. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a loyal NFL Dolphins fan. He will be remembered by his friends and family as a loving soulmate to Becky, a loving son, brother, father, nephew and friend, who will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
His Family… Vashan is survived by his fiancé Becky Ransom, his mother Kathy Johnson, his children Nikhaule, Samara, and Vashan Jr, Becky’s children Brandt, McKenzie, Jaren, and Garrett, brothers Brian, Victor, and Joise Jr, sisters Vikki, Carisa, Tamiko, and Natalie, and numerous aunts & uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Joise Atkinson and brother Terry Atkinson.
His Farewell Service… His Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Community Center, 2959 Lower Wyandotte Ave., Oroville, CA. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
