Obituary of George Lotan Moody

George Moody, 87, a resident of Gridley, since 1964, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, June 9, 2018, after a short illness. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 18, 1:00 pm at Sutter Cemetery, N 6th Street.

George was born March 7, 1931 in Wister, Oklahoma to John and Rosie Moody. He married his wife Roxie Kelley, on September 9, 1950.  They were married 67 years. Together they raised and are survived by three children: Dennis Moody (and wife Terry) of Gridley, Beverly Burgess (and husband Jim) of Yuba City and Karen Burgess (and husband Joel) of Redding, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. George had many jobs before being hired by PG&E. He officially retired from PG&E after 40 years.
