Obituary of Helen Louise Tabor Martin
Her Legacy… Helen Louse Tabor Martin was born on March 23, 1923, in Worcester, Massachusetts to Elizabeth and Guy Elliott. Helen passed away on May 15, 2018, in Chico, California. She moved to Santa Barbara, California as a Marine during World War II where she met and married Ralph Tabor. Then raised Rita, Mary and Bud. She moved north to Oroville upon the death of her husband of 35 years to be close to family. Helen was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend as well as an avid softball player, skier, private pilot, and faithful Catholic Christian.
Her Family… Helen is survived by Mary Seegert (Chris) and Bud Tabor (Sherry), 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her second husband Lawrence Martin, and daughter, Rita Nelson.
Her Farewell Service… Her Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1330 Bird Street, Oroville at 11:00 AM, preceded by the Rosary at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow in the Community Center. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
