I wanted to add a few more things that I forgot to mention on the story of my brother's life: Clayton, when he was younger, competed in Rodeo's as a cowboy in Calf-roping and Bulldogging. Clayton graduated from Santa Rosa High School, and always went back for every class reunion. He still has so many best friends still living in the Santa Rosa area, and visits them often. Clayton was born in Willits, California. Our sister, Ethel lived there her whole life, and raised her family there. Many summers were spent in Willits during their annual 4th of July celebration. Our sister Ethel, for many years, was in charge of the festivities of that annual weekend in Willits. Our whole family rode in that parade, starting with Big Daddy, Mama Leah, Ethel, Clayton, and all of Ethel's children. I love you, my dear brother. I miss you so much. Please rest in peace. Love, Lana

I have lost my most precious, big brother. I am saddened and very shocked over this tremendous loss. He was not ill, so it is a huge surprise to everyone that knew him. He golfed with his friends weekly, went to the gym daily, took care of the Ranch, went to Bible Study, went to Church. All of you that knew him, knew that Clayton was a very active man. Always following sports. He loved his senior softball, was a great umpire, and just recently went to all of Chico's - Pleasant Valley Basket Ball games. He even followed them to their first State Championship in Sacramento. He loved his sports! Clayton was a strong Christian for years, he gave his life to the Lord. He loved Jesus, and I find comfort knowing that he IS WITH the Lord. Clayton was a second generation cattle rancher. Our father and mother started ranching in the early 1930's. They had several Ranches, which they bought and sold. Cattle and horses were their life, so Clayton came by it naturally. Our grandparents were Dairy Farmers. In Clayton's younger years, he love to Rodeo. He was always participating in some event in the Rodeo. Clayton loved the racetrack; he had several racehorses. In the 1960's, he built an Miniature Golf Course in Santa Rosa, CA. In the 1970's, Clayton moved to Oroville to help our mother run the Lucky Seven Ranch. After our mother's death, he continued to run cattle and operate the Ranch. He loved that Ranch. Clayton is survived by two sons: Cary Gunn, and Clay Gunn, a granddaughter Ashley Grace Gunn, a sister (me) Lana Gunn, and our sister, Ethel Clatty who proceeded him in death. Clayton's first wife (mother of his two son's) Marilyn Gunn proceeded him in death only a few months ago. He is survived by his second wife Carlene Gunn. Both of our parents: Clayton and Leah Gunn also proceeded him in death. He is survived by numerous nephews and nieces: Leah Oberdorf, Melvin Clatty, Mercedes Clatty, John Johnson, Jan Rickey, Toby Smith, Jessica Smith, Natalie Wyss, and (Sharon Moody, who proceeded him in death). Clayton also leaves behind many great nephews and nieces, and many, many friends. Cary Gunn his son, is arranging to have a celebration of life for his father. We will be posting when and where that will be at a later date. I hope you have enjoyed the old photos I have shared on here. I am going to post some more soon.
