Obituary of Diona Blossom Bass
Diona Blossom Bass, 74, was born on February 21, 1944 in Oroville, California to Donald Walters and Marjorie Ryan. Diona passed away on March 20, 2018 at home in Oroville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was an avid crafter, gardener, and video game player. She enjoyed playing bingo and shopping. She loved spending time with family and making memories.
Diona married the love of her life, "The biggest Bass in the ocean", John David Bass on May 10, 1961. They spent a loving 51 years together before his passing. They enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and going to craft fairs together. Together Diona and John created a huge loving family which includes 6 daughters, 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. This 51 year journey all started with a basket.
Diona is survived by her daughters, Margie Bass of Idaho, Dianna Nevin, Sherry Bass, Trisha Bass and Diona Rigsbay all of Oroville. Her grandchildren; Misty, Jamie, Amber, Tabatha, David, John, Tanya, Jacob, Peachies, Skyler, Charity, Ronnie and William. Great-grandchildren; Sky Marie, Dustin, Butterfly, Honesty, Takiya, Anthony, Paige, Ethan, Amanda, Jasmine, Sarah, Robert, Haley, Jonett, Anastasia, Haylee, Uriah, Austen, Dylin, Austin, A.J., Serenity, Brezzy, Shirley, Justin, Viola, Promise, Matthew, Noah, Kodiak and Tristan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Bass, her daughter Tammy Bass, granddaughter Crystal Adams, and great-grandson Daniel Hark Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 31, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 10 Concordia Lane in Oroville. Arrangements are entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home (530) 533-0323.
