I was very saddened to hear that one of my old grade school buddies from Our Lady of Knock in Calumet City, ILL had passed away. Although I had not talked with Fred in over 40 years, I remember him as a great guy, and wish we would have stayed in touch. Even more so since learning that he had lived in CA as I have for the past 40 + years. Rest in Peace my old friend as we will meet again one day. Prayers go out to the entire Farley Family.

Fred was our favorite service man up here in the foothills of northern california. He and I always enjoyed talking sports when he came by to deliver our propane. He is the one that suggested we get a flagpole to display our sf giant world championship flag back in 2010. I found out from talking to him, that he was a big sports fan like me. He loved his Bears, White Sox, and Blackhawks. He loved the old rock and blues bands that I do. Always had a neat half grin that was there even when times were tuff. We will miss him dearly here in Dobbins! Rest well friend. Terry and Donna.

I remember Freddie from bright childhood days many years ago in our Lansing, IL, neighborhood. He was the sweetest little boy with the most charming grin. All of my memories of the Farley family on Walter Street are sweet. I remember Mrs. Farley piling all of us kids in the family convertible and driving us to the A&W for rootbeers and stopping at Lan Oak Park one sunny summer afternoon. I remember your family pet rabbit. I remember games of kick-the-can and playing Beatle records in Peggy Jensen’s garage. I remember Terry and Freddie in Little League baseball uniforms. Though many years have passed, I remember all of you clearly and fondly as a beautiful family. Please accept our condolences on behalf of the Yos family.

Fred was a true friend of mine for over 45 years. He was taken from us much too early and his love for us all will truly be missed.
