Obituary of John Allen Drew Jr.

His Legacy… John Allen Drew Jr. 49, died January 31st, 2018 in a truck accident. John was born in Oroville, Ca. December 30, 1968. John lived his early years in Oroville and Ukiah, Ca. Then John moved to Yuba City, Ca where he spent most of his teen and early adult years. He graduated Yuba City High School in 1987. After John graduated high school he worked at the Ride Aide Warehouse Center in Woodland, until he moved to Reno, Nevada 22 years ago. For last 7 years John enjoyed driving trucks for Williams Tank Lines, Inc. John had a bigger than life personality. When ever you were around John, he was sure to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. His Family… John is survived by his wife Maralee Drew of Reno, NV, four sons Patrick Drew, Matthew Drew, Ronald Swanson, Matthew Swanson and grandson Nathan Drew just born February 8, 2018, all from Reno. NV. He is also survived by parents Jim and Arlis Hedge from Yuba City, Ca, two sisters Tara Croghan from Yuba City, Ca , Angela Jones from Orovile, Ca, step brother Russell Hedge from Nebraska, step sister Leslie Ortiz from Fresno, Ca, uncle Donald Ereth from Oroville, Ca, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was proceeded in death by his grandpa Frank Ereth, Grandma Lila Metcalfe, two aunts Karmon Howarth and Ardith Metcalf. His Farewell… A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 17th, 2018, 4-8pm at The Nugget in Reno, Nevada. There will also be a Graveside Farewell Service Thursday, March 8th, 2018,11am at Memorial Park Cemetery (5646 Lincoln Blvd, Oroville, Ca) and Celebration of Life to follow at the Yuba City Moose Lodge (205 S. Walton Ave, Yuba City. Ca.) friends and family are welcomed to attend. Arrangementts are entrusted to Oroville Funeral Home.
