Dear family, I love Geno and will miss him terribly. His laugh, his funny euphamisms, his smiling eyes, his big belly!! He always made me laugh and exasperated me as well at times, as I'm sure I did him too. I love how he was a close friend to my dad, hanging out, shooting the breeze...yes they got in trouble sometimes, but they had fun doing it. After Uncle Ernie and then my mom had passed, Geno and my dad became good buddies and I'd give anything to be in that midst again.....Geno also had a big heart especially for family and would give the shirt off his back or at least help in the way he could with a car repair or some plumbing work, etc. You could count on him when calling with an emergency, to come and help in any way He could. He loved kids and they loved him. They would stare at him, enamored, when he talked not sure if he was being serious or funny.... he was a character and there is a big hole left in our hearts..... Geno loved and believed in Jesus Christ. I know he is there now with his dad, my Uncle Ernie, of whom he was so much alike in mannerism. All that said, I am thankful that I got to live close by to Geno all these years and for the fond memories I can remember him by. Love u Geno. See u again someday.

I am heart broken to have just learned today of the death of Gene. He was a great friend and made me laugh every time we spoke, even though we have never even met in person, it seemed I had known him forever.
Y'all are in our thoughts and prayers. I know God has another angel in heaven.

Mary and family, I am so sad about Geno’s sudden passing. He was a fun friend, full of adventure! I have many fond memories of getting in trouble alongside him!
My Dad spoke highly of him. He helped my grandfather on a fishing trip. Geno was in High school at the time and lifted my grandfather on his back carrying him up a hill to the car. My dad never forgot this. He was grateful for Geno’s help.
As so many friends have shared, Geno always offered help to others.
I have been thinking about you all and the pain of losing him so suddenly.
I know you will be laughing and smiling when remembering the adventures of the past and the fun we had with him!
Much love, Teri

Mary, Shelley, and Georgie,
I am so sad to hear of Geno's passing. I will always remember us as teenagers playing football and hanging out at Shelter Cove. Those were the best summers!
I am so sorry for your family. His loss will leave a big hole in the fabric of your lives.
Thinking of you and praying for you,
Karen
