Linda Ann Peden was born on October 18, 1948 and passed away Saturday evening on January 27, 2018 at her home in her own bed as she wished, surrounded by family that loved her. Linda Ann Peden was a beautiful loving Cherokee Chaktaw woman rich in her native culture and ways. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother, great aunt, sister and daughter. She was born Linda Ann Upton, her parents were Alice Margarita Byce and Charles Andrew Upton. Her love and zest for life was unmatchable. She had the biggest flare to make people happy and smile when one was sad. She would find a way to make them smile and always had a way of getting people to open up to her so she could help them. She attended Butte College and worked several jobs throughout her life until she became ill from lupus and dementia. Linda is survived by her three daughters; Terri Linn Sprague, Linda Valoria Barker, Anita Lorraine Hammons and her step children that she loved as her own; Trina Hammons and Luke Hammons. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Oliver Lee Guyton, James O'Brian, Toni Guyton, Adam Upton, Lara Upton, Marrilee Betts, Addie Patton, Barbara Patton, Gerrtie Patton, Susan Patton, 107 nieces & nephews, numerous greats, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one more on the way. Linda was the light of her family's life and the strength that held them up. God has gained another angel and there will be no other like her in heaven. Her last words to her daughters were Be strong for her and remember the only teacher you need is God, the bible truth and love. She was the most remarkable woman. She died as peaceful and as gentle as her heart was with her family and all who loved her. She will be missed and forever loved.
