Obituary of Lorraine M. Deaner

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, 11:00 am am Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Ford Ave. Gridley, CA. for Lorraine M. Deaner, 91, of Gridley. She passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 in Yuba City CA. She was born on May 2, 1924 in Saint Paul, MN to Albert and Clara Hitzemann. Lorraine was a longtime resident of Gridley, having worked many years at the Bigg Gridley Memorial Hospital as a dietitian. She was very active in her church and church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking long walks and visiting the coastal cities of Fort Bragg and Crescent City. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Deaner, one son, Paul Deaner and three brothers. She is survived by one son, Alan (Donna) Deaner of Colusa Ca., three daughters, Annette (Larry) Demmer of Chico CA., Wendy (Tom) Cohiles of Yuba City, CA, Becky (Robert) MacMurphey of Rio Linda CA., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pastor Zabdi Lopez of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate the service. Family suggests contributions be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel
