To Steve, Lisa, Samantha, & Reid,
My sincerest condolences to you. What an honor it was to know and love Charlotte! Bob enjoyed many OCS and EFC events in the kitchen with Charlotte - they had many laughs together and Bob felt very blessed over each encounter - even at the sink washing endless pots and pans!
My last conversation with Charlotte was after I moved to Carmel. I was at Lisa Sanford's beauty shop in Oroville (behind Wagon Wheel) and had the privilege of visiting with Charlotte and learning of her relationship with Bob through those events and about her life at school and the health struggles she had conquered. What an opportunity God gave me to know her better that day!
God bless you all!

Charlotte was one of my favorite people of all time. She was always supportive and caring. I met her in High School and we became fast friends. She attended every sporting event held and loved her High School, its' students, and staff with all her heart.
We used to ride the Team Bus to out of town football games and would often sit near each other for home games. She was always in the stands when I was playing shouting words of encouragement to the entire team. But, most of all Charlotte could be counted on as a friend for anything a person might need. She was honest and reliable and didn't hesitate to practice tough love when needed.
When she retired she gifted me with a picture of the original OUHS Main Building that had been hanging on a wall in her office for many years. She said she didn't know anyone who would appreciate it more. She was right. I had it framed and it is proudly hanging on a wall in my office.
Every time I look at that picture I recall the great times I had at OUHS, and the special friendship I had with Charlotte.

What a great loss to all that were influenced by her love and devotion to her students and friends. She had such a great impact on all the lives she touched, providing guidance, understanding, and a deep true interest in making sure they were doing the right things in their lives. Not too many around anymore who are so great and generous. Rest in peace, and know you are missed.

Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to one incredible woman, friend, mother and grandmother. Charlotte will always be remembered for her love and genuine care and concern for others. You didn't need a special pass, she was blessed with a heart of immense compassion and tough love. I am going to miss cooking and sharing recipes, watching you light up when you spoke of Steve, Lisa, Sammy and Reid, being in your nurturing company, our family dinners, making you peppermint tea, and the list just goes on. Charlotte, you were significant and your spirit is carried in the hearts of not just many but thousands. You touched every member of my family as I watched each one of them open their heart to you. You just had that way about you. My family sends their love and prayers to Steve, Lisa, Sammy and Reid and the Post Family. Thank you for sharing your precious Charlotte with all of us.

It was hard to see at the time at OHS that Charlotte was such a huge influence in my life. We were pretty naive' to many of life's treasures. We were her kids, and she was our overseer. Looking back even many years ago I realized she was a buffer, and we depended on her for a smile, an evil look, or a swift kick in the butt if we were making poor decisions. By evil, I mean only that she communicated to me through her actions and tolerance and I know now how valuable this was. It made us think twice about doing something we knew would meet with her disapproval. Yes, Charlotte took care of us, and gave us wide quarter, but we learn from her and had great respect. We will always have the memories and the traits she instilled in us. She was the mentor we didn't even know we had, but always searched for her at any event as adults...So we could let her know we were OK. Thank you Charlotte

I went to Oroville High School with Charlotte. She was an upbeat, positive friend. She was involved and cared about people. It’s good to hear that never changed for her. She was an asset to a Oroville High and the students that were lucky enough to know her. She will be missed by many in this life.
My deepest sympathy to her family.

My deepest sympathy to Steve and the rest of the family on the passing of Charlotte. She was always a firecracker. She saved my butt many times and kept me in line. She was a defender when I was being bullied and she gnarked me off when I got out of line. She was a blessing to me for many years and I just thought the world of her. It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to a woman who meant a great deal to me during my high school years. Much love Charlotte. You were one of a kind.

Steven and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time. I know you are comforted by your faith and hers! She was a remarkable human being and will be missed by all. I truly loved your mom, and I know it was mutual by her actions. She may have wanted to turn me over her knee at times, but scolded and then hugged instead. I will never forget all of the talks we had, the time spent at your house when I was younger, or those hugs.
Now give yourself a hug from me, and take care.
Love you,
Lori Gabrielson Hook

I am truly so sad to hear this today. Charlotte was like a mother to me for a long time during my childhood. She coached my first 2 years of baseball for Thermalito little league when I was a young boy at age 6 and 7. Where we took first place. She loved everyone and treated all of us equal. As i started to become a young man she was always there for me. Treated me like I was her own son. Always concerned what was going on in my life. Welcomed me into her home when I was having family issues and made sure I was taken care of.
Steve and I were very close growing up. She treated me like a son as she did Steve. In high school she really took care of me. When I got in trouble she always made sure that she told me what was right and wrong, than helped me slip threw more detentions than I should of got. She always referred me by Mewes, hugged me and told me she loved me.
As I write this, I cry with sadness that your gone, but knowing you were such a HUGE part of my life and you will never be forgotten.
Thank you Charlotte for being such an inspiration in my life.
I know that you touched at least...at least a thousand young people’s lives.
I love you from the bottom of my ♥️.
Mewes
