Obituary of Barbara Ann Pierce

Barbara Ann Pierce was born on November 25, 1929 to Anna (Roman) and Paul Murphy in Austin, Minnesota where she grew up on the family’s farm with her three brothers. Barbara worked at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento for 25 years in their accounting department from 1962 to 1985. She was very active in the Oroville Community. She was a member of the Altar Society, Peace Makers Guild, and Garden Club and involved with Saint Thomas Catholic Church. Barbara passed away at her home in Oroville on October 5, 2015. She will be missed by her family and friends. … Barbara is survived by her brother Paul Murphy, her three children, Cheylnn Pierce-Phulps, Baron Pierce and Sean Pierce; she is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren with the sixth great grandchild on the way. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church 1330 Bird St. Oroville, California.
