Obituary of Patricia Green Burleson
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church in Gridley at 2 p.m., for Patricia “Pat” Boll Green Burleson, 79, of Gridley. She passed away peacefully November 20, 2017 in Paradise, with a strong faith and hope in heaven.
Born in Ventura, California to Myrrell and Beatrice Boll on March 17, 1938, Pat was soon joined by sister Peggy and brother Jim. The family moved to Biggs in 1952. Pat graduated from Biggs High School in 1956 and married her high school sweetheart, Morley Green, September 15, 1956. Together, they had three children, Tom, Toby and Toni. While Morley was buying rice, Pat was the self-proclaimed, “landscaper, seamstress, social secretary, chauffeur, and cook.” Pat and Morley enjoyed their time at Bucks Lake at their cabin called Green’s Getaway, snowmobiling, looking at wildflowers, and entertaining, before his death in 1987. Pat worked for Bank of America in Gridley for many years, she was a member of the Biggs United Methodist Church for over 50 years, was active in Biggs Women’s Club, and Laureate Zeta Iota Sorority. She was an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her. Pat married William “Bill” Burleson in January of 1990 and they enjoyed traveling and cooking together. Bill died in December of 2005.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, husband Morley and husband Bill.
She is survived by sons: Tom (Susie) Green, of Biggs, Toby Green, of Oregon; and daughter, Toni (Jeff) Fridrich, of Oroville; sister, Peggy (Don) Ramsdell, of Northport, Michigan; grandchildren: Bree (Greg) Haskell, of Morgan Hill, California, Tommy (Bryanna) Green, of San Jose, California, Beau (Whitney) Green, of Medford, Oregon, Chelsie Green and TJ Cortez, of Sacramento, Ariel (Jake) Mainz, of Roseburg, Oregon, Mat (Kasarah) Fridrich, of Oroville and Sarah Fridrich, of Medford, Oregon; great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Jackson and Bryant Haskell, Cecelia and Emma Green, Phinley and Londyn Green, Presley, Nevaeh, Korah and Jace Cortez, Harper Fridrich; in-laws, Bill and Pat Green, of Oroville and Jadiene and Duane Moss, of Gridley; and many nieces and nephews.
A reception will follow the services at the Biggs United Methodist Church, 441 C Street.
