Mathew Finley

Obituary of Mathew Royce Finley

My Matt was taken on October 18, 2017 in a head on collision while out riding our Harley (his red head girfriend as he called her). He was on his way home when the accident occurred. Why? Will always be in our minds. Why did God take him? He was a beautiful wonderful, ornery, fun loving, hard working man. He was happy on top of the world. Our plans for life were all falling into place. Spending time with our grandson Bentley Finley, Matt loved Bentley to the moon and back. He worked for CRBR and we were putting Custom Home Painting By Matty together. All his energy went non stop working to make our life better. And it was him who made all the best in our lives because he was that guy! He had a heart of gold, and was a loving caring man and no matter what he always came home smiling and in need of hugs and kisses and a home cooked meal. To know him was to love him. Matt leaves behind his loving memories, we each have our own, he will never be forgotten.

Matt is survived by his daughter Angel Finley, grandsons Bentley and Austin Finley of Sacramento, CA; his sister Louella Dietrich of Elk Grove, CA; his niece Kiana Reyes of Elk Grove, CA; his step dad Kenny Novak of Sacramento, CA; his life partner and soul mate Lillie Woods of Oroville, CA; his step sons Steven Woods and David Woods both of Oroville, CA; and Bryan Woods of Riverside, CA; along with three men who were his brothers for life, Ronnie Myers, Jimmy Malarkey and Vince Stack. He is also survived by his Grandmother Rosy and Uncle John.

Matt will be laid to rest on his grandparents property beside his Mother and Grandfather. Rest in peace Mathew Finley. My love my life. I will always keep you in my heart with love. I know you are in heaven smiling down on all of us.
