Obituary of Shirley Ann Hollandsworth

A graveside service will be held on Monday September 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at Gridley Biggs Cemetery for Shirley Ann Hollandsworth, 74 of Gridley.

She was born on November 25, 1942 in Wanette, OK, one of six children born to George and Susie Oakley. She was a longtime resident of Gridley, having owned and operated Little Tots Daycare for many years. She also worked for Century 21 Real Estate, in Gridley. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, camping, the mountains, traveling, and her grandchildren and her daycare grandchildren. She was an avid baker and was known for her famous pies. Shirley was also a member of the Yuba City quilt guild and Junior Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bill Oakley, two sisters: Priscilla Vaughn, and Loeta Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Hollandsworth of Gridley, two sons; Bob (Kim) Hollandsworth of Gridley, Tim (Delia) Hollandsworth of Stockton, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister Vicki Horn of Gridley, and one brother Kenneth Oakley of Dayton, NV.

The family suggests contributions to Sutter North Hospice and Orchard Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
