Obituary of Pauline W Brown
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel for Pauline Werneke Brown, 89 of Live Oak.
Pauline Warneke Brown went to her home in Heaven on Monday July 24, 2017 at the Yuba Skilled Nursing Center in Yuba City. Pauline was the fourth child born to Louie and Pearl Warneke in Mt. Ida, Arkansas on March 30, 1928. Pauline and her parents moved to Live Oak in August 1944. Pauline married Grover L. Brown in September 1944.
Pauline worked many years at Libby’s Cannery in Gridley and in 1953 she attended Ramar Beauty College in Marysville. She opened her beauty salon in her home in 1954 where she worked until she retired in the 1980’s.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Louie Warneke; mother, Pearl Warneke; sisters, Helen Dry, Lois McBride; brother, Clebert Warneke; and husband, Grover L. Brown.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Dolores Brown of Davis, CA, granddaughters; Stephanie Icenhour Little of Summerfield, NC, and Melissa Icenhour Mitchell of Roseville, CA. Pauline has six great-grandchildren; Cody Little, Ethan Little, and Brett Little of Summerfield, NC; and Macey Mitchell, Cayla Mitchell, and Alexis Mitchell of Roseville, CA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Live Oak Cemetery.
