Obituary of Marina Lomeli

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2017, 2:00 pm, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Marina Lomeli, 81, of Gridley, who passed away on February 17, 2017 in Chico, California. She was born on November 27, 1935 in San Miguel El Alto Jalisco, Mexico. She was a long time resident of Gridley, having worked many years at the Cannery. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and was a devoted wife and Mother. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Vidal Lomeli, one brother and one sister. She is survived by 2 sons, Joe Lomeli and Javier Lomeli, both of Gridley, 4 daughters, Maggie Madera (Manuel) of Gridley, Becky Lomeli of Gridley, Cecilia Lomeli of Springfield Oregon, and Marina Lomeli – Fox (Jeffrey) of Chico, 6 grandchildren 2 great- grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday February 27, from 3-6 p.m. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the church. Father Roland Rameriz will officiate the service.
