Obituary of Clara Jean Tamborski

With deep sadness, we bid farewell to Clara J. Tamborski, who passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024, in Oroville, California at the age of 89.

Clara’s journey began in Colusa, California, where she was born to Anthony Rodriguez Valente and Josephine Bernadine Fonseca. Raised in the warmth of Delevan, California, she lived her life with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit. For 25 years, Clara devoted her talents as an Accounts Specialist to Bank of America, with most of her days gracing the halls of the Trans America Building in San Francisco. Her dedication was matched only by her compassion, evident in her involvement as a cherished member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Clara reveled in life’s simple joys.  She found joy walking on the sandy shores of Mazatlán, spending the summers in her trailer in Fort Bragg, and collecting shells along the beach. An avid reader, a passionate shopper, and a lover of Portuguese cuisine, she savored every moment spent with family and friends. Clara’s heart overflowed with love for animals, from the many deer that frequented her home to her beloved feline companions, all affectionately named “Furby.”  Her warmth and kindness knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Clara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Tamborski, her parents Anthony and Josephine Valente, her daughter Jean Passmore, and her sister Hilda Wheeler.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, forever etched in the hearts of her surviving family: her son Greg Passmore, daughter Gail Dryden, son-in-law Arthur Dryden, brother Tony Valente, grandchildren Chris Passmore, Annalise Passmore, Liz Williams, and Jacob Dryden.

In this time of loss, the family of Clara Tamborski extends their heartfelt gratitude to Prestige Expressions for their unwavering dedication and compassionate care. Though Clara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the light she brought into our lives.

There will be a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oroville Eagles Hall on June 14, 2024 at 11:30am.
