Marlon Dewayne Jones Jr Obituary
Marlon Dewayne Jones Jr., age 37, passed away leaving a legacy of fierce love, hard work, and deep devotion to his family.
He is survived by his loving spouse, LaRaeshia, and their four beautiful children, Marlon Jones III, Maelyn Jones, Milo Jones, and Maddox Jones. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Marlon Jones Sr.
Born and raised in Oroville and Chico, California, Marlon was the beloved son of Tamara Smith and the late Marlon Jones Sr.
Marlon was a man who never shied away from hard work, Marlon attended trade school to build a career he was proud of, ultimately working as a dedicated log truck driver. He held various jobs throughout his life, bringing a relentless work ethic to everything he did.
Marlon’s devotion to his spouse and children was truly unmatched; everything he did, and everything he stood for, was completely for them. He was a proud youth football coach with the Oroville Rhinos, investing his time into shaping young lives in his community. He was famously known for telling his sons, his players, and their friends that "they better hit somebody."
When he wasn't coaching, Marlon was the ultimate sports dad, but also a dedicated cheer dad for his daughter. He made sure he was present at every single one of his children’s sports games, cheer competitions, and activities, proudly serving as their truest, most vocal fan. Marlon was a major Philadelphia Eagles fan, and his passion for football was legendary—anyone who knew him will forever remember him enthusiastically yelling "Go Birds!" to family and friends in passing. Although Marlon is gone he will be forever remembered by his beautiful smile, gentle heart, making those around him laugh and smile and profound devotion to his spouse and children.
Psalms 112:1-2
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
