Richard Charles Jenkins, 54, of Gridley, California passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2026.

 Rich will be remembered as a beloved husband, caring father, devoted grandfather, son, brother, stepfather and cherished friend. He touched the lives of those around him with kindness, warmth and his caring nature. As a devoted family man and friend, Rich was someone who was always there for the people he loved, offering support, laughter and a steady presence that will be deeply missed.

 Rich dedicated 33 years to the Winship-Robbins School District, where he worked as the Head of Maintenance and Transportation. He took great pride in his work and was respected by colleagues, staff, students and the community for his dedication, dependability and strong work ethic.

 Outside of work, Rich loved fishing and spending time outdoors. The peace and quiet of being near the water brough him happiness, and fishing gave him the opportunity to enjoy nature, slow down and appreciate the moments that mattered most.

 He is survived by his wife, Virginia Jenkins; his son, Christopher Jenkins; his mother, Maxine Williamson; his sister, Lisa Jones; his stepchildren, Aleesa Bondelie, Lenette Hernandez (Christopher), Kyle Jeremias, Josh Mata, and his four grandchildren. He also leaves behind many friends and loved ones who will deeply miss him.

 Rich’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

 A Celebration of life to honor Rich will be held at a later date.

 The family appreciates the love, support and condolences received at this difficult time.
