Dell Lee Mallan (1935-2026)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dell Lee Mallan on April 5th, 2026. Born in Pasadena, CA. in 1935 to Frances Dena Howe and Delmont Beals Mallan. Moving to Paradise, CA. when he was just 9 years old.

When he became an adult, he joined the U.S. Army as an electronics technician. After the Army, he spent several years working as a military contractor for the Sacramento Army Depot and the McClellan Air Force Base.

After moving to Paradise, CA., he specialized in yard maintenance and handyman work. Dell had a no-compromise work ethic and took pleasure in helping others in the community.

Dell was deeply involved in the Center for Spiritual Living churches in Paradise, Oroville, and Chico. He was also heavily involved in the Unity Church of Oroville.

Dell is survived by his son, Brian, brother, Terry Mallan, two nieces, Candi Garrett and Tami Kohler. Along with Tami’s two children, Ashley and Jaiden Kohler.

Donations in his memory can be given to the Center for Spiritual Living in Chico or the Unity Church of Oroville.

Celebration of Life date is yet to be determined.
