Wilma Christine Rood, known lovingly by her family and friends as Chris, was born on December 5, 1951 in Pueblo, Colorado. She passed away on March 16, 2026 at her home in Oroville, CA. She was 74.

Chris married Kirk Rood on April 7, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple moved to their property in Oroville California in 1976. They had two children, Chance Owen Rood and Tara Christine Rood. Kirk and Chris were married for 52 years.

Chris was proceeded in death by her beloved adoptive parents Wendall and Earline Dean, and nephew Sea-Jay. She is survived by her husband Kirk, son Chance (daughter in law Sarah), daughter Tara, grandchildren Haley, Abbey, Alia, Humberto (Berto), Liam and Ella, her adoptive sister Sharon, and nephew Casey.

The family will be celebrating Chris's life in a small intimate gathering.
