Daniel Thomas Burks, 70, passed away February 26, 2026 from a rare autoimmune disease. Dan was born on July 30, 1955 in California to his parents, Tom and Florence. Dan grew up in the Bay Area until he was sixteen, when his family moved to Oroville, California. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, playing golf, and fast pitch softball in his younger years. is fondest memories are of coaching and managing his children’s little league teams. Dan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen, his children Stacy (Brandon), Derrick, Kyle (Nicole), and his six grandchildren: Kaylee, Sam, Issac, Marissa, Camren, and Peyton, and his brother Scott. 

There will be a Celebration of Dan's Life Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 1 pm at the Wolf's Den, 251 Lorene Court, Oroville, California 95966. (Located behind Feather Falls Casino) all are invited to come and help the family remember Dan's life.
