A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 12 pm at Gridley Moose Lodge for Ruth Margaret Roberts, 95, of Gridley. She passed away on Saturday, January 24,2026.

 Ruth was born on July 11, 1930 in San Jose, California, the only child of Calvin and Margaret Rix. She was a longtime resident of Gridley, having moved from San Jose. As a young woman, she graduated from Lincoln High School in San  Jose and married her childhood sweetheart Charles. They were married for 67 years until his death in 2018. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother to her two children, Rick and Susan. She enjoyed bridge, bowling, bunco, camping, boating and attending car club events with her husband Charles Roberts. In Addition to this, Ruth was an exceptional host and piemaker. She helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and what she truly loved most was being surrounded by family. Ruth was a member of the early V-8 Club of America and a member of the Gridley Moose Lodge. 

 Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Roberts; her son Richard "Rick" Roberts; her son-in-law Daniel Jarratt; her sister-in-law Caroline Zink  and nephew Jim Zink.

 Ruth is survived by her daughter Susan Jarratt of Gridley CA; daughter-in-law Jolyn Roberts and Jolyn's husband Mike Vanwassenhove of Wilder, Idaho. Leaving behind five grandchildren: Robert Jarratt of Gridley, CA; Michael (Vanessa) Roberts of Boise, ID; Lisa Slattery of Chico, CA; Melissa (Scott) Rios of Wilder, ID; Kelly (Dennis) Montgomery of Boise, ID; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one niece Donna Hajduk of Nevada City, CA.

 The Family suggests contributions to the Quota of Gridley or Gridley FFA. Inurnment will be at Gridley Biggs Cemetery.
