Gail Teague was born on March 1, 1947 in Riverside, California the son of John R. Vivian Teague.
The family moved to Oroville in 1952 and then moved to Gridley in 1954 when his Dad and Les Pryde formed a partnership, Pryde-Teague Motors. Later, the dealership became J.R. Teague Motors in the building that is now Casa Lupe.
From an early age, Gail learned how to work on cars, he loved trying to fix things, not just cars. After graduation from Gridley High School in 1964, he attended Yuba College and begun working at various auto dealerships in Marysville and at his Dad's dealership.
It was during his year at Yuba College that Gail and Pat became friends driving back and forth to school. Their friendship grew and they were married on May 25, 1968 in Gridley.
Gail opened Teague's auto repair on April 1, 1977 and on March 1, 2014 after many years in business he sold Teague's to Casey Gruber, who had worked for Gail for several years.
Gail was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Pat, son Matt (Laurie) and son Scott (Lori), four grandchildren Griffin, Alyssa, Olivia and Ashley and his Sister Eunice Feeks.
A memorial service will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 10AM with a celebration of life to follow at the Gridley Moose Lodge.
