The family of Khoune Vongphakdy of Oroville, CA is saddened to announce his passing on April 13, 2025, at the age of 62.

Khoune was born on September 24, 1962, in Vientiane, Laos. He was the youngest of 10. When he came to the US, he worked at a bakery in Concord, CA. In 2000, he moved the family to Grants Pass, OR, and opened up his own bakery. He worked hard to provide for his family. After 17 years of owning his bakery, he decided to retire and relocate to Oroville, CA.

Khoune will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Chansamouth; children Khamphud, Tekar, and Lisa; sons-in-law, Terry and Tung; grandchildren Alexius, Maya, Selina, Paitynn, and Paislee; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, father, 7 siblings, and grandson.

A celebration of Khoune’s life will be held at Ramsey Funeral Homes on Thursday April 24th at 1pm-4pm located at 1175 Robinson St, Oroville CA.
