A funeral Service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025 at 10 am at Gridley Block Funeral Chapel for Evelyn Marie French, 80, of Gridley California.

Evelyn passed away on Friday April 11,2025 in Chico, California. She was born on June 7, 1944 in Casa Grande, Arizona. One of four children born to Vernon and Mildred Latham. Evelyn was a long time resident of Gridley, She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother . Evelyn enjoyed shopping, traveling and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with ther family and adored her Yorkie dog, Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale French, three step-sons Allan, Jim and Rick French, her sister Kathy and two brothers Richard and Doug. She is survived by her two sons Floyd and Joseph Fontes, both of Gridley, one step-son Richard French of West Virgina, son-in-law Xavier Torres of Gridley, her Granddaughter Ashely(Derrick) Tanner of Biggs and her two Great-Grand Children, Elliott and Mekinze Tanner of Biggs.
