Obituary of Paul E. Chenoweth

It is with deep sadness that the family of Paul Edwin Chenoweth announces his passing on April 1, 2025, at the age of 81, in Oroville, California. Paul was born on September 26, 1943, in Placerville, California, to Edwin and Jeane Chenoweth. 

Paul was a devoted family man, a loving husband, and a proud father and grandfather. He was married to his beloved wife, Emma Chenoweth, for 56 wonderful years. He is survived by their three sons and their daughters-in-law: James (Linda) Chenoweth, Destry (Teresa) Chenoweth, and Daniel (Amy) Chenoweth. He was the proud grandfather of Colton Chenoweth, Chloey Chenoweth, Claire Chenoweth, Christopher Chenoweth, Kira Huffman, Jevin Jackson, Brea Regur, and Taylen Regur. Paul is also survived by his sister, Sharron Martin. 

Paul’s love for life extended beyond his family to his passions. He was an avid fisherman, always finding peace and joy by the water. He loved watching wrestling and was known to be a TV enthusiast, often sharing his favorite moments with family and friends. Paul was a positive influence on everyone he met, always encouraging others to keep a smile on their face and a good attitude, no matter the circumstances. 

Paul was a dedicated member of his church, a valued member of the Little League community, and a coach at Las Plumas High School. He proudly served in the military, and his legacy includes his cherished role as a mentor and guide to all those he encountered. 

He was known for his sense of humor, always cracking jokes and lighting up any room he entered. His positivity, laughter, and unwavering support of his loved ones made him a beloved figure in every part of his life. 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jeane and Edwin Chenoweth. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 3rd at 1:00 PM at the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Loma Rica, California. The family invites all who knew Paul to join in honoring his memory.
