Elizabeth Mae Crain Farr

Elizabeth Mae Crain Farr passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 100, in Chico CA.

She was born on March 9,1925 in Dunnigan, CA to Earl and Cecile Crain of Pennington, CA. Elizabeth attended schools in Gridley and Orland and graduated from Gridley High school, then went on to attend Business school in Sacramento CA. She later married William Farr, from Gridley and they made their home in the Gridley and Chico area where they raised 3 children, Michael, Diane and Stephen.

While Raising her family, Elizabeth worked part-time as a school cafeteria cook. Elizabeth was very active in the LDS Church in Gridley with Relief Society and Genealogy. She enjoyed many hobbies and clubs, including; time as a Pink lady at the hospital, Ladies Auxilary of VFW, Garden Club, knitting and yard work.

Elizabeth is survived by her Children, Michael (Sharon) Farr, Diane (Jim) Yates and Stephen Farr. 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, two of her brothers Eston and Ralph Crain and her husband William Farr.

Funeral services will be held March 27, 2025 at the LDS Liberty ward Church, 1259 French Ave, Gridley CA.

Visitation at 9am with Funeral services at 10 am with graveside to follow.
