Born in Chico, California on March 18, 1980, Robert Paul McDunn came into this world and left it in the same way -- LOVED DEEPLY BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Rob's genuine nature, laughter-inducing personality, and adventurous spirit exemplified his motto to "live life to the fullest".
Oroville was forever home base, having graduated from Las Plumas High School in 1998, then going on to serve in the Navy from 1998-2003. During his service, he was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson where his love for movies like Top Gun and Behind Enemy Lines (filmed on the ship) was only enhanced by the fact that he met Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman.
Rob had a deep love for nature, travel and the outdoors. Whether fishing, cooking or sharing a meal, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, often quoting movie lines with perfect timing. His passion for music was just as diverse as his interests, spanning from Rammstein to Pavarotti.
Rob lived with an open heart, bringing light and laughter wherever he went. His presence was a gift, and his memory will live on in the stories, laughter and love shared by those who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, the imprint he left on us will live in our hearts forever!
