Obituary of Jerry Malcolm Sebastain

His Legacy… Jerry Malcolm Sebastain, 75 of Oroville passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family on January 16, 2016. He was born in Stanford, KY to John and Evelyn (Privett) Sebastain on May 10, 1940. He is survived by three brothers; James, David, Paul and one sister Linda. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Loretta and Marilyn and a great granddaughter Ava Basinger. He married the love of his life Barbara Jeanne Buckner on September 6, 1958 and moved to Redding, California in 1961. Jerry worked in construction for several years and was a long time business owner in Oroville. He owned Jerry's Automotive, Mobil Gas Station and Superior Automotive. He was a member of Oroville Christian Church and a past member of the Oroville Chamber of Commerce. Jerry's passions in life were his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, his family, racing cars, boating and camping. His Family… Jerry is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Darla Sebastain-Krause, Steve (Tina) Sebastain, Tammy (Bill) Beever and Robert (Michelle) Sebastain. 11 grandchildren Stephanie (Andrew) Basinger, Heather (KC) Clapsaddle, Bethany Sebastain, Dakota Sebastain, Darla (Jesus) Castaneda, Raiff Beever, Luke Sebastain, Mason Sebastain, Ryke Beever, Shelby Sebastain and Brinkley Beever. Jerry is also survived by three great grandchildren Brielle Basinger, Kruz Clapsaddle and Auden Castaneda. His Farewell Service… A Celebration of Life will be held at Oroville Church of the Nazarene on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Oroville Christian Church Building Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
