Obituary of Donald Frank Callaway

A Funeral service will be held Thursday October 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel for Donald Callaway, 79 of Corning.

Don was born to Earl and Vivian Callaway on July 9, 1938 in Colusa, CA. He spent the majority of his life working in agriculture in Sutter and Butte Counties. He loved Camping and spending time at the ocean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings; Dick, Dan & Patty and one son, Craig.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn, his children Dona (Kevin), Dana, Anthony (June), Tracey, David (Shelly), thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three brothers, Bob (Grace), Bill (Janelle), Tom, numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday October 18, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.

Private Interment will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
