Obituary of Bill William Melton

A graveside service will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Gridley Biggs Cemetery for Bill William Melton, 86 of Gridley. Bill passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Gridley, CA. He was born on January 22, 1931 in Gridley, one of five children born to Dick and Neoma Melton.

He was a longtime resident of Gridley having worked many years at the cannery and for many area farmers. He enjoyed cars, his Harley, cutting wood and collecting his treasures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

He is survived by three sons; Steve (Dee) Melton of FL, Kenny (Belinda) Melton of ID, and Wade Melton of CA, four daughters; Yalline (Tim) of CA, Freda (Richard) Jensen of CA, Sheila Melton and companion Kevin Scott of CA, Barbara (Douglas) Brock of CA, two sisters; Clara Spradlin of CA and Judy Loughmiller of CA, eleven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
