Obituary of Donna Mae Simpson

Donna Mae Simpson was born on April 22, 1938 in Wahpeton, North Dakota to Margaret Viola Mueller and Nicholas Charles Thiel. Donna worked has a beautician for 34 years making ladies feel beautiful. She met and married the love of her life Marion Lester Simpson in 1956 and they spent the next 39 years making a life together and raising their children. They had three sons and one daughter. Donna was a gracious, loyal loving person who could also be a little spitfire. She loved the Lord and raised her children to do the same. She will be deeply missed but we will meet again. Donna passed away on March 20, 2017 in Oroville, California. Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lester Simpson and her beloved son Scotty Simpson. She is survived by her daughter Kellie (Doug) Gleason, her two sons Jeff (Triana) Simpson and Mitch (Nicole) Simpson all of Oroville, CA; she also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Simpson, Alex Simpson, Curtis Simpson, Brittany Simpson, Tiffany Simpson all of Oroville, CA; Stephany Tudor of Colorado Springs, CO; Angel Durham, Destineh Gleason and Savannah Gleason all of Oroville, CA; and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Gilbert Thiel of Medford, OR; Sonny Thiel of Minnesota, and Nicholas Thiel of Oregon. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Buddy and Melvin and her two sisters Dolly and Arlene(Sissy). A Family Gathering will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville, California. Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Saint Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church 1355 Bird Street, Oroville, California.
